November is when our part of North Texas starts getting into the holiday spirit. Whether you've lived here for years or you're just getting to know the area, here are a few events worth putting on your calendar next month.
Hometown Christmas Craft Show, Midlothian
Saturday, November 7 at the Midlothian Conference Center. A great chance to get a head start on holiday shopping and support local makers.
Christmas in Cleburne Market Expo
Saturday, November 14 at the Cleburne Conference Center. Now in its fifth year, the Market Expo brings together vendors, gifts and holiday decor under one roof.
Whistle Stop Christmas Lighting Ceremony, Cleburne
Monday, November 23. The lighting ceremony starts at 6:30 p.m., with the official park lighting at 7:00 p.m. at Hulen Park, 1010 Hillsboro St. Whistle Stop Christmas has been a Cleburne tradition for about 30 years, and the lights stay up through January 3, 2027 in Hulen Park and downtown Cleburne. It's one of the best light displays in Johnson County, and it's an easy drive from Burleson, Joshua and Keene.
Night of Lights Christmas Parade, Granbury
Friday, November 27 (the day after Thanksgiving) at 6:00 p.m. on the Historic Granbury Square. The parade winds through the historic district, and the square is lit up for the season. Get there early for a good spot.
Planning ahead for December
December brings even more, including BTX-MAS in Burleson and the Candlelight Tour in Granbury. I'll share a December events roundup in late November.
Event details can change. Please check with each event's organizer before you go: Whistle Stop Christmas, Visit Granbury, and the City of Cleburne and City of Midlothian.
